The wilderness heals what the modern world cannot. Operating out of the rugged country of Wyoming, Restoring the Bond is an active 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to giving disabled veterans a chance to get outdoors and reset through meaningful experience.
Mission Statement
To connect disabled veterans with the healing power of the great outdoors through hunting, camaraderie, and service. We honor their sacrifice by restoring purpose, fostering spiritual healing, and restoring the bonds between veterans, the outdoors, their faith, and families.
About
Restoring the Bond was officially founded in 2024, following nearly a decade of vision and preparation. From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to provide Disabled Veterans with a first-class hunting experience while building genuine, personal connections that last far beyond the field.
The name RTB carries deep meaning within the veteran community. Commonly known as Return to Base, the phrase evokes powerful emotions – mission complete, heading home, or finding safety and purpose again. Through our commitment to connecting veterans with the great outdoors, our hope is that when they return home, they feel renewed and grounded in the four pillars of our organization: Faith, Family, Veterans, and Outdoors.
Restoring the Bond is a 501(c)(3) non-profit in the State of Wyoming. We are 100% funded through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations. All donations are tax deductible.

Morgan and I connected through a mutual friend, and it turned out he had a disabled veteran tag available. After a few easy conversations, we planned a day— and from the start, it felt like I was planning a trip with a friend.
We met late morning at the Brass Plum in Worland and hit the road with homemade cinnamon rolls in hand. After grabbing a few essentials, we headed out to find the antelope Morgan had scouted the night before. Within hours, we spotted the buck and had a successful harvest.
What made the day truly memorable wasn’t just the hunt—it was the atmosphere. No pressure, no expectations, just a genuine experience in the Wyoming wilderness. As someone with years of hunting experience and a military background, I appreciated how natural and relaxed it all felt. Morgan made sure I never felt like a tourist or an outsider. If you’re looking for a hunt where you’re treated like a friend and not a customer, this is it. It’s more than just a hunt.

Hunting in Wyoming through Restoring the Bond was more than just a getaway, it was a much-needed hard reset.
This was my first time hunting since retiring from service, and to be honest, I’d lost the love of it. Somewhere along the way, the connection to the outdoors and the purpose behind hunting had faded. This two-day experience completely changed that for me.
Being back in the wide-open Wyoming landscape, surrounded by 2 other veterans who get it, reminded me why I fell in love with the outdoors in the first place. The guide, the challenge, the talk, the shoot, the camaraderie — it restored something I didn’t even realize I was missing.
A huge thank you to Morgan Martinez, who absolutely refused to let me weasel out of the trip. I’m grateful he pushed me and kept reaching out, because this weekend reignited my passion for hunting and reminded me how powerful time in nature can be for the soul.
Restoring the Bond doesn’t just create experiences, they help veterans reconnect with themselves. I’ll always be thankful for that.

I want to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible disabled veterans antelope hunt. Being selected as the first female veteran to participate made this experience even more meaningful, and I am truly honored.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with kindness, respect, and genuine hospitality. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and accommodated, and your friendliness made me feel like part of a family.
Your hard work, generosity, and dedication did not go unnoticed. This hunt was much more than an opportunity to harvest an antelope—it was a chance to heal, connect with your family, and create memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am deeply thankful for everything you did to make this trip so special.
Thank you for your generosity, your patience, and for making this amazing adventure possible.
I will always remember this experience and the wonderful people who made it unforgettable.
With heartfelt appreciation,
